Friday’s Bombs: Watch Bryant and Barney Connect

The Cubs were outslugged by the Angels yesterday, losing 15-3 in their second tilt of the spring. Mike Trout, Chris Ianetta, and Jett Bandy hit homers for the Angels. Darwin Barney and Kris Bryant connected on long balls for the Cubs. Bryant’s homer was a mammoth shot to center field. It’s still early, but Bryant continues to demonstrate that he is very close to being a productive big league hitter less than one year from being selected by the Cubs in the first round of the 2013 draft. Barney shows off his hard work over the winter as he mounts his bid for an offensive “resurgence” in 2014.
